All of the artifacts presented on this website are from a single ancient settlement. We will present the stone tools, the works of art, the crude implements, rough sculptures, problematical artifacts and everything from the site that appears to have been made or used by the people who lived here many centuries ago. It is only through a complete analysis such as this that we can begin to undestand the ancient Native Americans.
Problematicals are artificat that are not positively identified as to their intended use or function. The items included here are very likely made or used by man. I have a 90% or better confidence that these are all man made, except for the individual pieces that I have identified as uncertain. For most, I have a strong opinion as to their use, but until I find supporting evidence, I will classify them as problematicals. Again, these are not problematical as to their identification as artifacts, but problematical as to their use and purpose. I have boxes full of rocks that may or may not be artifacts but those are not included in this section. Once you have a confirmed site, every rock that appears unusual or out of place must be carefully examined and considered. Sometimes this distracts you from examining the more common stones and shapes so it is therefore important to revisit your discarded treasures for later examination. Maybe someday I'll create an unknown folder and upload the ones that are just a bit odd and/or seemingly out of place..
