True Ancient American Artifacts

All artifacts found at a single ancient settlement.

All of the artifacts presented on this website are from a single ancient settlement. We will present the stone tools, the works of art, the crude implements, rough sculptures, problematical artifacts and everything from the site that appears to have been made or used by the people who lived here many centuries ago. It is only through a complete analysis such as this that we can begin to undestand the ancient Native Americans.

All of the images on this site are scaled to 800 x 600 and annotated. The originals were taken at 1.2 megapixels. If you would like to use any of the original unannotated pictures, please let me know. All pictures are also available on CD for a shipping and handling charge (usually $5) to cover costs.

I am not a professional or experienced archaeologist. I have just been collecting and researching since May of 2009. I still need to learn much more about the ancient cultures to better understand the purpose of these tools and effigies. I also need to learn about local geology in order to determine which rocks are not of local origin. Since this site was certainly a settlement, one must assume that any rock that seems oddly shaped, unnatural in appearance or not of local origin is a potential artifact. Of course one must also stockpile every rock from the area of the site for re-examination as knowledge increases and new evidence is discovered. If you have any insight into a site like this or have seen rocks similar in form to those pictured, please, by all means share your knowledge and I will reciprocate. None of my artifacts are for sale and I am not in this for any monetary reward. I eventually hope to have a collection significant enough to be placed into a local museum.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the content of this website. I look forward to communicating with others who share my interest in these ancient stone tools and ancient artifacts. I am particurlary interested in hearing from anyone who has discovered large numbers of effigy stones similar to my finds. I also am anxious to share reciprocal links to other archaeology sites dealing in the type of artifacts on this site.
